Option name:
AC97 Audio Select
Possible values of an option:
[Auto], [Enabled], [Disabled]
Or
[Enabled], [Disabled]
Or
[Auto], [Disabled]
The option description:
The option is responsible for the integrated sound subsystem of class AC ’ 97. This decision, of course, loses on quality of sounding to the discrete sound cards, but is quite suitable for the majority of situations. Normally codec AC ’ 97 is unsoldered on the motherboard, but there were decisions when codec AC ’ 97 represented an expansion card interposed into the special slot (AMR — Audio Modem Riser, CNR — Communication and Networking Riser or ACR — Advanced Communications Riser).
If you assume to use the integrated sound subsystem, install for this option value [Enabled] (or [Auto] if [Enabled] is not present in the list of variants). Otherwise (you have the discrete sound card or a sound to you is absolutely not necessary), the given option is necessary for disconnecting ([Disabled]).
