Possible values of an option:
[Auto], [Enabled], [Disabled]
The option description:
The option is responsible for the integrated sound subsystem. For the modern motherboards it, most likely, will be the codec of class HDA (High Definition Audio), providing rather quite good tonal quality. Before its appearance motherboards were equipped in the core with codecs AC ’ 97, losing on quality of sounding to the discrete sound cards, but quite suitable for the majority of situations. There were also decisions when codec AC ’ 97 has been unsoldered not on the motherboard, and represented an expansion card interposed into the special slot (AMR — Audio Modem Riser, CNR — Communication and Networking Riser or ACR — Advanced Communications Riser). Also the models of motherboards equipped instead of the elementary codec with the high-grade hardware sound controler of firm Creative or, say, CMedia Occasionally came across.
If you assume to use the integrated sound subsystem, install for this option value [Enabled] (or [Auto] if [Enabled] is not present in the list of variants). Otherwise (you have the discrete sound card or a sound to you is absolutely not necessary), the given option is necessary for disconnecting ([Disabled]).
