The option description:

Defines, whether TPM unit available on the motherboard (value [Enabled]) or not ([Disabled]) will be used.

TPM (Trusted Platform Module) represents the protected storage of passwords and encrypting keys. TPM unit allows to create new unique keys for reliable enciphering of the network traffic, the data on a hard disk (appropriate network interface cards and hard disks supporting technology TPM are necessary for implementation of these possibilities). The given decision also can be used for tracing of legitimacy of usage of the protected numeral content (for example, music). One more function TPM is verification of hardware of the computer, a guaranteeing invariance of a configuration. From the most widespread operating systems to the full TPM supports only Windows Vista.
