The option description:

Sets width of a data stream on bus HyperTransport used for communication of the system and functional controler of a chipset in some dial-ups of chips. The first specifies width of a data stream from the system controler to functional, and the second — in the opposite direction. There is normally enough 8 bits but if your computer is overloaded by expansion cards, it is possible to select width of a flow in 16 bits. Setting of width in 4 bits can be justified, only as a measure on stability augmentation of operation of the computer.
