PWR Fan Speed
PWR Fan Speed
The option description:
The given information option allows to specify current speed of rotation of the additional fan of the system block connected to corresponding socket on the motherboard. Proceeding from the option name, most likely it is a question of the fan located on the back panel of the system block or about the fan of the power unit, having an exit for an external tachometre.
If the motherboard supposes connection of several case fans, the options displaying speed of other fans nearby will be presented.
When the additional fan has no built in tachometre or is connected directly to the power unit, instead of real value is deduced or [NA].
At some realisations BIOS there is a colour allocation of the deduced information. If number of turns within norm, you see dark blue figures if it has fallen to too low values, colour of figures will be replaced with the red. However, the prevention system quite often wrongly works at use of the low-speed fan, even when it works in a regular mode. If warning inscriptions at a loading stage are thus deduced, the sound alarm system joins, control of speed of the fan is necessary for disconnecting, having chosen for an option value [Disabled] or [Ignore]. In all other cases there is no necessity for a monitoring interdiction.
