The option description:

Allows to set boundary temperature of a crystal of the processor at which excess a computer food will be switched automatically off in order to avoid processor failure. Depending on a processor thermal emission it is possible to recommend to establish value of an order 70—85°C.

"Hottest" are processors of family Pentium 4 (especially their senior updatings). And it is possible to recognise as "coldest" processors of families Core. Athlon 64, Athlon X2, Phenom (except for the most high-frequency versions) it is possible to carry to averages on this parametre to processors. If to speak about earlier models they are characterised, basically, an average or moderate thermal emission.
