The option description:

Defines, whether module TPM available on the motherboard (value [Enabled]) or not ([Disabled]) will be used.

TPM (Trusted Platform Module) represents the protected storehouse of passwords and enciphering keys. Module TPM allows to create new unique keys for reliable enciphering of the network traffic, the data on a hard disk (corresponding network cards and hard disks supporting technology TPM are necessary for realisation of these possibilities). The given decision also can be used for tracing of legitimacy of use of the protected digital content (for example, music). One more function TPM is verification of hardware of the computer, a guaranteeing invariance of a configuration. From the most widespread operating systems to the full TPM supports only Windows Vista.
