USB 1.1 Ports Configuration
Option name:
USB 1.1 Ports Configuration
Possible values of an option:
[Enabled], [Disabled]
Or
From [USB 2 Ports] to [USB 8 Ports] or [USB 12 Ports], [Disabled]
The option description:
The option is responsible for the standard USB-controller of a chipset. Value [Enabled] allows to involve this controller, [Disabled] — to disconnect it. Considering an USB-periphery large quantity, the controller should be necessarily included (value [Enabled]).
Do not pay attention to sending to version 1.1 of specification USB. This option, as well as all similar, answers for inclusion and deenergizing of the standard USB-controller of a chipset. The controller operating mode (USB 1.1 or USB 2.0) is set by means of a separate option —
.
Regarding versions BIOS this option allows not only to include or switch off the standard USB-controller of a chipset, but also to specify number of the involved ports (their maximum quantity depends on a chipset). As switching-off of a part of USB-ports does not bring any dividends, choose for this option the greatest of accessible values (it can be, for example, [USB 12 Ports], [USB 8 Ports]).
