WakeUp by Onboard LAN

Option name:

WakeUp by Onboard LAN

Possible values of an option:

[Enabled], [Disabled]

The option description:

Specifies, whether the computer (value [Enabled]) or not (a variant [Disabled]) should clear up at receipt of a "magic" package on a network. In most cases such necessity is not present.

Proceeding from the option name, it is a question of the integrated network adapter.

The network adapter of the computer which is in a mode on duty, carries out monitoring of all data coming on a network. Having received "a magic" package (Magic Packet) — a package generated in special way, — the network adapter gives a command on computer inclusion.
